2005 Year End Awards System
Rules & Regulations
Must be a 2005 member of MMOHSC
Members must compete in the same class, 3 times in the same season to qualify for a year end placing in that class
Points are accumulated on a 1 horse 1 rider combination (with the exception of halter and pee wee classes, please see bylaws)
Points are earned through out the summer in each class based on a full class (6 or more entries)
First place placing will earn 6 points, Second place 5, down to sixth place, earning 1 point (will be adjusted if less than 6 entries) per class
All classes, excluding jackpots, will receive a first through sixth placing at the end of the year
You must PLACE 1st – 6th in the year end in order to use your points towards the prizes
If you place in more than 1 class at the end of the year, your points will be combined to give you a grand total
You will receive your total number of points for the 2005 year shortly after the last horse show (August 28th)
You may then shop through this catalog, based on your points, and choose the prize(s) you wish to receive at the year end awards banquet
You may select 1 large prize, or split your points out into smaller point ranges to earn a couple of prizes (Example: You have 90 points to shop with and you want to purchase a prize from the 51-70 range. You will have “spent” 70 points and will then have 20 points left to use in the 11-20 point range; You have earned 210 points and want to purchase a prize from the 91-110 range. You will have “spent” 110 points and will then have 100 left. You could choose a prize from the 71-90 range and a 3rd prize from the 0-10 range OR split the 100 points into a few other point ranges. Such as a prize from the 31-50 leaving you with 50, then a 3rd prize from the 21-30 range and a 4th prize from the 11-20)
If you do not respond in a timely fashion after receiving your total points at the end of the summer, you will be presented with a trophy or plaque at the year end banquet
